So this weekend was a completely new challenge for me as I took on my very first wedding video! I did it as a favour for an ex-teacher of mine from Cottingham High School and had lots of advice from my dad, who used to create wedding videos for a living. I managed to borrow kit from Matt Stephenson, who created the Hull ‘City of Culture’ video (thanks very much!) and I had such a great day filming it.
Was a bit of an exciting/ nerve-racking day as I have not self-shot on my own for quite a few years, probably before I started at university back in September 2010! But nevertheless, it is looking great and I shot around 100gb of footage which I am currently editing for the couples’ honeymoon return in 2 weeks time. Hopefully I can use this to try and start up my freelance career and book some weddings during the autumn/winter months in either Hull or Northampton. (yes, Northampton. But that’s a different blog post ;))
